摘要：苏州是江苏省的经济、对外贸易、工商业和物流中心，也是重要的文化、艺术、教育和交通中心。由于苏州受其各方面因素的影响，导致农村居民收入增长长期缓慢，城镇居民收入持续提高且稳定，这不仅影响农村居民生活水平提高，而且制约农村经济发展，从而导致城乡居民收入差距的产生，且差距有持续扩大之势。本文根据苏州城乡居民收入差距的现状及原因提出相应的建议。
