Objective:In this study, the hydride generation atomic absorption method and graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry were applied to determine the content of lead and arsenic in Glycyrrhizic acid ammonium salt. The accuracy and feasibility of the wet digestion method was verified by the recovery of standard addition method. Methods: The samples was treated by wet digestion method and then was detected by the hydride detector or graphite furnace detector. Absorbance was obtained to determine the content of lead and arsenic in the sample. The recovery rate was caculated by 0.5 times and 1.0 times added-standard. Results: (1) The As content of Glycyrrhizic acid ammonium salt was 254.7ng / g. (2) Recovery rate of added-standard was 96.9%, 106.1%, up to 90% -110%.The feasibility of this method was verified. (3) Pb content of the Glycyrrhizic acid ammonium salt was 141.6ng / g.(4) The recovery rate of spiked recovery process as follows: 104.3%, 106.6%, 90% -110%. The feasibility of this method was effective. Conclusion: The use of atomic absorption spectrometry graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry and hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry method is an effective, rapid detection methods, with high sensitivity, less amount. suitable for the quantitative detection of lead and arsenic in the detection of heavy metals.
