摘要:民办教师是中国教师队伍中的特殊部分，是不被列入国家教员编制的教学人员，他们大部分集中在农村中小学，为农村义务教育做出了重大贡献。本文通过对刘醒龙长篇小说《天行者》的分析，对民办教师在艰苦环境中所做出的史功绩加以肯定；对他们在面对利益——“转正”时所表现出来的高尚道德加以颂扬；以余校长这一形象为代表，将民办教师这个群体生动直观地展现在世人眼前。
