INTRODUCTION This article is a project of an English-Chinese translation. The author translated the extracted texts from chapter 1-4 of a novel maned The Ice Cream Memories of Charlotte Rowe which was written by Teresa Perrin. This article includes three parts: the introduction, the problems, the solutions and the conclusion. First of all, the author introduces the research background, purpose and motivation of the translation, the basic information of the novelist and the content of the original text. Secondly, the author used the Triple Equivalence to analyze and understand the original text, which includes syntactic problems, semantic problems, word selection problems and the application of translation theories and skills. At last, in response to the translation problems encountered in the translation process, the author proposes corresponding solutions to the problems and then summarizes the project.
