Abstract:Tea drinking has long been a way of life. The Hakka people live in the mountains all the year round and are diligent and simple. Tea is an essential item in their daily life. Britain is also a big tea country. In the 16th century, tea was introduced into Europe, and greatly affected the daily life and spiritual life of the British. This paper compares the formation and development of Chinese Hakka tea culture and English tea culture, the differences in tea ceremony spirit, the types of tea and tea sets, as well as the tea-drinking time, preferences, etiquette and methods, so that people can understand Chinese Hakka more deeply. It deepens the understanding of tea culture by tea lovers, contributes to cultural exchanges between the two countries and draws readers' attention on how to pass on the Hakka traditional culture.
