Abstract: Toni Morrison, the Nobel Prize winner in Literature, is generally regarded as the representative of black women writers.Her works are mainly about the blacks, especially black women. As a branch of feminism,black feminist literature mainly reflects the multiple oppressions of sexism, racism and class prejudices imposed on black women in the American society, and reveals the sufferings of black women caused by these oppressions.This paper aims to analyze Beloved from the perspective of black feminism. The first part mainly analyzes the black females’ sufferings from both race and sex in Beloved. The second part describes the black females’ pursuit of freedom and identity and their desire for love. The last part stresses the black females’ resistance against the oppressions. Keywords: Beloved ; black females; black feminist
