一、教材内容分析
The title of this unit is “I am watching TV”. On the topic of “everyday activities”, various teaching activities such as listening, speaking, reading and writing are carried out. Use the present continuous tense to talk about what people are doing. In Section A, Students get a rough understanding of the present continuous tense through practice, and enhance their listening ability. Students are supposed to ask what they are doing by learning affirmative sentences, negative sentences, general questions and special questions in the present continuous tense. This part also presents the change of the present participle of the verb be. To learn this period will prepare for the later study. Section B introduce vocabularies about festival through watching video. They can further talk about activities and customs in festival. The reading material for this unit is ‘What are Zhu Hui’s family doing on the Dragon Boat Festival’. It enables students to have a better understanding of Chinese traditional customs and to compare Chinese and western cultures, so as to enhance their national confidence. The post-reading activity enables students to reproduce the information in the text through retelling, which can not only deepen the understanding of the article, but also practice the speaking ability. The purpose of this part is to create a relaxed and pleasant environment for learning and communication, and to cultivate students’ ability to comprehensively use these knowledge through reading, speaking and writing.
