一、教材内容分析  
The teaching material is from Junior High School English book for grade seven. 
Unit 7, It’s raining, is the first period of Module one which principally talks about how to describe the weather. Meanwhile, students can learn how to write the postcard. 
As this topic is closely related to students’ daily life, students are supposed to be more familiar with this teaching content and would be more interested in the lesson. These factors would be conducive to a lively class in which students provide timely and effective responses.  
At the same time, since they should describe weather conditions, a proper understanding and correct use of verb tenses are also explained and trained in. For instance, the present continue tense. 
After learning this Unit, students will master the theme words, phrases and target language to talk about the weather in a proper tense. Five sections are arranged in this module.
 
二、学习者特征分析
The students in Grade seven are in a kind of transformative period. In regard to intellectual development, their imaginative thinking still plays a leading role in their learning process. Additionally, the students do not have a large vocabulary and they can hardly understand what I’m talking about and often give me a wrong response.
Furthermore, despite that they have studied in junior high school for half a year, they still have a hard time concentrating on the class. Meanwhile, they display curiosity that has little to do with teaching activities. But I believe this kind of curiosity would be transformed into intellectual pursuits under the teacher’s guidance and edification and be used to fulfill their learning task.
Fortunately, They have learned many language structures to use English in practical situations. Though they are lack of sufficient vocabulary, they are eager to communicate with others on familiar topics. Besides, their abstract thinking and cognitive capability have developed significantly comparing with primary school students. The class design aims to keep up their passion and instill a feeling of success and self-confidence.
