一、教材内容分析

This unit is the seventh unit in the first volume of Grade 8 Go for it. This unit mainly focuses on the communicative function of “talking about future”. After learning this unit, students can master the usage of the simple future tense and improve their ability in listening, speaking, reading and writing.

The first lesson in this unit is presentation, which mainly focuses on vocabulary learning and grammar introduction, and lays the foundation for the following grammar learning.

The second lesson in this unit is the grammar lesson. It is mainly about the use of the simple future tense. Students can practice grammar by presenting classic examples and other activities.

The third class in this unit is listening, let the students listen to the materials and make dialogues. In addition, let students practice key sentence patterns from the perspective of listening and speaking. By organizing listening activities and group activities to cultivate the students' listening and speaking ability and cooperation ability.

The fourth period in this module is something about the DO You Think You Will Have Your Own Robot? The teaching type of this class is Reading. The main task of this lesson is that students can grasp the key words and sentences in the passage and understand the main idea of the passage. Through skimming and scanning tasks, students can improve the efficiency of reading and improve their reading ability.

The last period in this module is writing. Students will learn to use the simple future tense to describe predictions about the future, improve their writing skills by organizing and consolidate the grammar used in this unit.
