一、教材内容分析
This unit is the fourth unit in Volume 1 of the textbook published by the People’s Education press for Grade Eight students in Junior High school. This unit discusses the characteristics of movie theaters, programs, scenic spots and other things with the superlatives. And the unit enables students to learn to share their interest and hobbies with others. Because the materials come from students’ daily life, students will have the desire and appeal to express themselves, at the same time, students’ interest will be further ignited, and their learning efficiency will be improved accordingly. After studying this unit, students are expected to correctly use the superlatives of adjectives and adverbs to describe different people and things, and develop a good habit of observation.

Before students enter Grade Eight, they’ve already mastered some English knowledge after several years’ of English learning, and most students’ enthusiasm is high. However, since Grade Eight, some students begin to lose interest in English and lag behind other students and the polarization of students may further increase.
