Abstract：The rapid development of electronics has given birth to a variety of electronic dictionaries which have come into popularity among English learners. With its multiple functions, it has brought great convenience and exerted noticeable influence on English learning. Undoubtedly, electronic dictionary, with its limitations and drawbacks, is of great help to English learning if handled appropriately. However, the improper use of electronic dictionary also produces negative effects. This paper Begins with a discussion about the background and basic features of electronic dictionary and then examines its current use among English major students and mainly probes into how to use electronic dictionary correctly and effectively to facilitate English learning.

摘要：伴随着电子产品的迅速发展，各类的电子词典出现并深受广大英语学习者的喜爱。电子词典集多种功能于一身，为英语学习者带来了极大的方便并对英语学习产生了巨大的影响。当然，电子词典有它的局限性和缺点，但如果学习者使用得当将毫无疑问对英语学习带来巨大的帮助。然而，电子词典的使用不当也会产生负面影响。本文首先讨论了电子词典产生发展的背景和基本特征，然后调查了其当前在英语专业学生中的使用情况，旨在探讨如何正确使用电子词典，有效地促进英语学习。
