Abstract: Given the present economic and fiscal crisis, President Barack Obama made history being sworn in as America’s first African-American president and delivered a speech that will be remembered by supporter and foe as ushering in a new era of leadership and communication. Having taken the wide influence of Obama’s speech and excellent rhetoric he has adopted into consideration, and by giving examples the author has made a detailed analysis of President Obama's inaugural speech from a macro-rhetorical perspective, including mainly the rhetoric of phonology, lexicology, syntax ,context and rhetorical devices. The purpose is to help English learners to obtain as much knowledge of speech words, speech sentences and speech texts as possible from rhetorical perspective. The ultimate purpose is to help English learners with their appreciation of the classical speeches, thus enabling them to express themselves logically, forcefully, artistically, strategically, fluently, and persuasively.

摘要：在当前的经济和财政危机下，巴拉克 奥巴马宣誓就职成为美国历史上第一位非洲裔总统。他发表的就职演说令人记忆深刻。奥巴马的修辞演讲中运用了大量的修辞。考虑到奥巴马就职演说的广泛影响以及其对修辞的灵活运用，作者从宏观修辞学的角度对奥巴马的就职演说进行探讨。主要在语音上的修辞，词汇上的修辞，句法上的修辞，语境中的修辞，修辞手段这些方面举例论证。本文旨在帮助英语学习者从修辞学角度欣赏就职演说词的文体风格和篇章结构，以学到更多的知识。最终目的是提高英语学习者对英语演讲稿的欣赏能力，使他们能够在表达自己的观点时富有逻辑、说服力、艺术性、和策略性，能幽默感人而流利地说服听众。
