Abstract: Advertising is a kind of concentrated, integrated and commercial language. The most important function of advertising English is to persuade people to buy the products or make a strong impression on people. How can the advertising English fulfill this function? And why can the advertising English persuade the customers to buy goods only after the customers read the advertising? This paper aims to analyze the communicative functions of advertising English from the perspective of linguistic features and improve the accuracy of using English in business situations, especially in advertising.
