Abstract: In various works, writers have created many vampire images which have different attitudes towards life and themselves. Based on the studying of the vampire representatives of each era, the thesis summarizes features of human nature from vampire characters to show that the vampire images are reflection of human soul and echo human characters in each era. This study aims to illustrate the positive social significance of vampire images by referencing William Patrick Day’s theory that vampire image reflects human nature, and tends to draw a conclusion that the development of the figure of vampire can cause the self-reflection of human beings. Key words: vampire images; human nature; characters
