Abstract: Unreliable narration was first introduced by the well-known American narratologist, Wayne C. Booth. Being an important concept in narratological studies, unreliable narration means that the narrator’s narration deviates from the norms of the implied author. Unreliable narration can make readers find that the narration of the events or the value expressed by the narrator is unreliable and encourage readers to think carefully. The thesis will analyze how the author creates the personality of the main characters and the other characters in Pride and Prejudice from the perspective of unreliable narration, from which we can have an idea about how the author leads the readers to communicating with the author with the unreliable narration and finding the hidden value and the theme that the author wants to express.
