Abstract: Today, a great number of business issues such as resource allocation, economic cooperation and business policies require to be addressed globally. More international contacts are needed. In order to have a successful communication with other countries and promote national economy growth, business conference oral interpreting plays a vital role as a bridge of cross - linguistic communication between both parties involved. This paper takes President Xi’s speech on B20 opening ceremony as a case and analyzes the business conference oral interpreting from the perspective of Interpreting Theory. It analyzes the Chinese characteristics and the difficulty in President Xi’s speech, and puts forward better strategies including free interpretation, information supplement for explanation, logic management and structure adjustment so as to improve the quality of oral interpretation in business conferences.
