Abstract: This study aims to prove that the task-based teaching method could be effectively used in reality in English vocabulary learning and teaching in junior high school. Through analyzing the theory of the task-based teaching method and the current situation of junior middle school vocabulary teaching in China, the writer found the task-based teaching method could be effectively used in English vocabulary teaching. In order to prove the task-based teaching method could be effectively used in reality in English vocabulary learning and teaching in junior high school, the author conducted an experiment, and the experiment data proved that the task-based teaching method in English vocabulary teaching in junior high school is beyond doubt. It could effectively develop students' English vocabulary learning ability and stimulate students' communicative motivation.
