Abstract:Culture has diversity and difference. There are language differences, ideological differences, religious differences and dietary differences between China and the West. This paper mainly analyzes the differences on food culture between China and the United States. In China, people eat food for the first. Each region has local specialties, rich and varied, and more emphasis on food culture. In the United States, Americans do not care whether the cuisine is aesthetically pleasing, and that nutrition and health are important, and that the quality of food is more important. In order to strengthen the friendly exchanges between the Chinese and Western peoples' cultures and reduce the contradictions and conflicts between China and the West due to differences in dietary culture, this paper will further analyze the differences in dietary concepts, methods and tastes between China and the United States.
