Abstract: Body language is any part of people’s auxiliary behavior, expressions and mannerisms in the process of communication. It is a kind of language, belonging to the non-verbal language. This paper discusses the application of body language in primary school English teaching, analyzes how body language improves the ability of students’ listening, talking, reading and writing in detail and some functions of body language in English teaching, designed to guide the use of body language in primary school English teaching correctly, to arouse primary school teachers to put stress on the importance of body language.
