Abstract: Interlanguage fossilization is an important theory in the study of foreign language acquisition. In the process of the second language acquisition, learners use certain learning strategies to form the dynamic system of language, which is different from its mother language and the target one. With the progress of the study, it can gradually transit to the target language, while some grammar rules and pronunciations, existing in the dynamic system of language, are not easy to change. This article, based on the interlanguage fossilization research overview, explores the reasons of the phenomenon, and puts forward some suggestions on preventing fossilization.
