Abstract: English reading strategies teaching is an important part of English reading teaching. This thesis aims to clarify the definition of reading strategies, classifications of reading strategies, and combine the researches of reading strategies training both home and abroad, to discuss appropriate teaching methods for junior high school student under the new version of English Curriculum Standard. The paper analyzes the teaching of some commonly used reading strategies to help the students find suitable reading strategies and improve the efficiency of reading.
