Abstract:Doubtlessly, movies have played an essential role in cultural communication. The film was translated and introduced in large quantities as a way of cultural exchange. The translation of the film is closely related to the culture. The translation of the film title is particularly important. From a business perspective, a good title can attract the audience and increase the box office revenue. From the perspective of cultural exchange, translation reflects the exchange and integration of Chinese and foreign cultures. When we appreciate a wonderful movie, we are first impressed by its title. A well-equipped translator can successfully shorten the gap between two different cultures. When we translate film titles, we should concentrate on the cultural context. In film title translation, we should take the audience’s feeling into consideration. The function of the translation of the film title is to promote the product "movie", the purpose is to increase the attendance rate and increase profits. Film title translation is a new field of translation in recent years. Constrained by factors such as screen pictures, language style and audience level, film translation is quite difficult compared with general literary translation and it also has its own unique characteristics.
