Abstract:The Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) emphasizes that learning by doing motivates the students to tap their potential to study. The students should master the language by using it to communicate in the classroom, while still learning grammar and building up theirvocabulary.Researchers have proposed different approaches to teaching reading. The authorof this paper thinks that application of TBLT is a better way to teach English reading because it involves the students, motivates students to develop their analytical and problem solving skills and changes the students’ and teachers’ traditional roles during the process of language learning.
