Abstract: The paper firstly distinguishes literary translation from subtitle translation. Then, through the analysis of the subtitle translation of Gone with the Wind, the characteristics and principles of common subtitle translation are proposed. Chinese translation of several classical dialogues is selected for analysis and study. The reason for their translation is justified based on theoretical knowledge.
