Abstract: This thesis explores the differences and integration between Chinese and Western food cultures. Food culture plays an important role in world cultures. Different countries have different food cultures. In the paper, the writer introduces the history of Chinese and Western food cultures. The two cultures are different in characteristic, types of food, cooking skills, table manners and so on. By the analysis of the differences and integration between Chinese and western food cultures, we can comprehend the respective cultural traditions, respect and appreciate Chinese culture.
