Abstract: China English, as “a performance variety of an individual country” and a language spoken by the largest population in this world, has its own characteristics and has attracted attention by the linguists home and abroad .Chinglish is an interlanguage during the process of L2 acquisition. It is the result of interference of many factors, such as native language transfer, cross-cultural communication, etc. This paper gives a comparative study of the definitions, linguistic features of Chinglish and China English. Because of the vast differences between Chinglish and China English, different attitude should be emphasized to treat them. The use of Chinglish needs to be reduced or eradicated, on the contrary, the use of China English should be proposed. Finally, this paper gives the teaching and learning implications of Chinglish and China English. Key words: Chinglish; China English; normative English
