Abstract: Based on the questionnaire and interview, the thesis aims to overview the main pragmatic failures in English-majors’ English-learning. It focuses on a test of 50 students among students in Xingzhi Institute in Nanjing Xiaozhuang University. According to analysis of the relative data and current situation, the thesis discusses reasons of pragmatic failure in English-majors’ learning and provides some effective measures to avoid them.
