Abstract：The Kite Runner is the first novel of Afghan-American author Khaled Hosseini. The book has won high praise and worldwide discussion since its publication. 

The story takes place in a beautiful country, Afghan, which is falling apart. The close relationship between Amir and his father’s servant’s son is an important clue. The kite is a core meaning throughout the story. The kite is a core meaning throughout the story and plays an important role in prompting the story. This paper will analyze the symbolic meanings of the kite at Amir’s different times and will focus on the growth of humanity of Amir.
