Abstract: Recently, with the continuous development of tourism, tourist industry has become more and more internationalized. With the increasing number of foreign tourists, various tourist attractions facilitate tourists all round the world by adopting both Chinese and English public signs. As a result, translation of public sign in tourist attractions is more and more common. However, it has brought some problems, that is to say, many conventional translation errors that cannot be ignored. Therefore, this paper will use the theories of domestication and foreignization to further analyze the errors in the translation of public signs in order to seek specification of public signs translation.
