中文摘要：同义词是英语词汇的重要组成部分，当前的参考资料无法帮助二语学习者有效地辨析英语近义词，因此英语近义词的辨析始终困扰着他们。本研究通过运用美国当代英语语料库(COCA)，对overlook、neglect和ignore这三个常用的近义词进行了对比研究。本文从词频和类型分布，词汇搭配和相互信息值以及语义韵这三个方面出发，进行了英语近义词辨析。研究结果表明，在当代美国本族语者的日常使用中，本组近义词在以上三个指标下都存在明显差异。就本组近义词在语料库中出现的总次数而言，ignore使用频率最高，overlook的使用率又高于neglect。此外，三个词汇的搭配领域和语义韵也有区别。overlook和neglect指的是非意志努力下忽视某物，而ignore指的是视而不见，overlook和neglect后常搭配的名词的特点也不尽相同。
