Abstract: Little Women is a masterpiece of Louisa May Alcott who was a female writer in American in nineteenth century. The work is about the growing experience and self-improvement process of the four March girls. This thesis will make an analysis of the character and behaviors of the March family members and demonstrate the instructive significance. Joe’s struggle for pursuing ideal encourages people that only unremitting insistence can help realize their dream; Meg’s refusing money for true love tells people a correct view of love i.e. love should be built on sincerity and selflessness; Beth’s calmly confronting suffering and death and Amy’s innocence and kindness educate people the importance of an open mind and a good moral cultivation; the March family’s kind heart helps others become easier and happier; their unity shows people the importance of family: affection is the key factor of a family being able to sustain. In the novel, the harmonious relations of mutual understanding, mutual help, mutual tolerance, and mutual rapport between people reflect the quality of the truth, the good and the beautiful.

摘要:《小妇人》是十九世纪的美国女作家路易莎·梅·奥尔科特的代表作。该作品主要讲述了马奇四姐妹的成长经历及自我提升的过程。本课题将以马奇一家的性格和行为为基础,探究书中体现出的教育意义。乔为理想不断奋斗鼓励人们只有坚持不懈勇于追求才能实现自己的梦想;梅格对为真爱拒绝金钱告诉了人们正确的爱情观,爱情应建立于真诚无私上;贝思坦然面对病痛与死亡及艾美纯真善良使人们的心胸开阔,道德观念更强;马奇一家的善心使帮助他人变得更为简单和快乐;他们的团结和睦让人悟得亲情的重要性,亲情才是一个家庭能够维系下去的最关键的因素。书中人与人之间相互谅解,相互帮助,相互宽容,相互融洽的和谐关系,体现了人类真善美的品质。
