Abstract:In junior English teaching, cooperative learning is beneficial to students’ joyful learning and teachers’ effective teaching. Cooperative learning is beneficial to changing students’ learning way and teacher’s teaching method in English classroom. This essay is a brief introduction to the basic concepts of cooperative learning, and a discussion of the advantages of cooperative learning in English classroom. This essay focuses on how to use cooperative learning in junior English classroom.

　　　This paper briefly introduces the basic concepts of cooperative learning and the advantages of using cooperative learning in English classroom. It focuses on how to use cooperative learning in junior English classroom. Cooperative learning offers students more opportunities to use the language they learn. It can stimulate and maintain students’ interest in learning, and they can learn English in a more active way. Students are also better motivated to learn in cooperative learning.
