Abstract:In reading, the key point is to understand the meaning of the article quickly. However, the biggest obstacle is new words. Aiming to solve this problem, this article provides a way called word guessing in English reading, and illustrates the importance of word guessing in reading comprehension. Actually meaning of new words in reading comprehension can be acquired by using the knowledge of word-formation and context indications, which include the identification of prefixes, suffixes, roots and the latter contrastive relation, inference from the context relation,comparison and contrast relation,common knowledge, experience and logic, looking up the words in the dictionary correctly to solve the problem of new words in reading. Word guessing helps the students to understand the meaning of the words between the lines thus improves the students' reading abilities and enhances their reading speed which is very effective and feasible. 中文摘要:在阅读中,至关重要的是对文章的快速的综合理解。快速有效地阅读文章的最大障碍就是生词。如何解决在阅读中遇到的这个问题,因此本文重点研究使用猜词法来解决此问题。阐述猜词法在阅读过程中的重要性以及利用构词法和语境线索进行猜词的一些技巧,内容包括:利用前缀、后缀、词根及前后缀猜测词义;根据定义或解释、对比关系、因果关系、同等关系、正确的使用字典等技巧来解决阅读过程中生词的问题。通过猜词推断不认识的单词,能帮助学生在上下文中理解单词的含义,从而提高学生的阅读能力,提高阅读速度,具有较强的有效性和可行性。 关键词: 阅读;猜词;技巧 |
