Abstract: This paper mainly studies Chinese neologisms that come into existence in the last two decades. The writer provides not only definition,classification and features but also current situation of neologisms and some related research achievements in this field. Based on the scientific analysis and study on Chinese neologisms,the writer puts forward two principles for the translation of Chinese neologisms and three strategies to resolve three major existed issues in many translated works ,translation without any supplementary, Chinglish emerging and ignorance of the current differences between languages. In addition,the reasons for the mistranslations and inaccurate translations are also discussed. Key words: Chinese neologisms, translation, strategies
摘要:本文主要以近二十年来汉语中出现的大量新词新语为主要的研究对象。详细介绍了新词的定义、类别和特点,并陈述了新词的现状,以及近年来有关新词的研究成果。基于对中国特色新词的科学研究与分析,归纳了跨文化交际原则和语境原则两条比较实用的汉语新词英译的指导原则,运用阐述、归化、直译的翻译策略解决很多翻译作品中存在的三个主要问题:一、未将汉语新词中的“隐含成分”表达出来就落笔翻译;二、不能摆脱中文字面的束缚,中式英语层出不穷;三、不能把中西文化融会贯通,忽略了中西文化的差异性。 关键词:中国特色新词,翻译,策略 |
