Abstract: This study aims to investigate the application of modern educational technology (MET) to vocabulary teaching in junior middle school English classes. With the popularity of informational devices, teachers start using multimedia aids in class. Some teachers like them and rely on them while others dislike them and hardly use them. There exist some disputes between the traditional way and modern technology-assisted way of teaching and learning English vocabulary. The paper starts from the recent development of educational technology and recent researches on it. Through the analysis of a survey on vocabulary teaching and other collected materials, the author tries to prove that the appropriate application of technological aids could help to enhance students’ vocabulary acquisition. 摘要:本文主要关注现代教育技术在初中英语课堂词汇教学中的运用。随着信息技术设备的普及,教师开始运用多媒体手段辅助教学。部分教师喜欢运用先进设备教学甚至产生了依赖心理,而有些不喜欢用的教师则几乎从不使用多媒体等。因此人们对传统教学词汇和现代技术辅助教学词汇两种方式提出了争议。本文从近年来教育技术的发展和学者们相关的研究出发,通过调查分析材料,作者试图要证明合理的运用技术手段辅助教学有助于词汇的习得。 关键词:现代教育技术;多媒体辅助教学;初中英语词汇教学;习得 |
