Abstract:With the rapid development of global economic integration, the worldwide economic cooperation and exchanges are increasing. In the international trade, English business letter is an important and effective way of communication. In business letters, one uses the written word to talk and negotiate. A good business letter represents a good image of the company. It can help the company to establish a good relationship with the other company, and thus get more benefit from cooperation. In contrast, a letter without politeness not only leads to the failure of the business, but also destroys the image which the company has already built up. In order to produce a positive effect in the English business letters and achieve a good commutation with others, one should be prudent in the choices of words and sentence structures. This dissertation focuses on the politeness in English business letters from the perspective of stylistics, and analyzes it from the strategy of vocabulary selection and grammar usage. The dissertation reaches the conclusion that in different situations, the emphasis and the means to express respect and politeness are different; the strategies of expressing the politeness in the English business letters are not unique, they should be used in an integrated and flexible way. 摘要:随着全球经济一体化的不断推进,世界经济合作与交流的发展也日益激烈。在国际贸易中,英语商务信函是双方联系的重要有效方式。商务信函代表公司的形象,用书面语言进行交际,处理商务问题和人际关系。一封好的信函能帮助公司建立与其它公司的良好关系,从而取得好的经济效益。然而,一封不好的且没有礼貌的商务信函不仅会导致商务的失败,而且还会破坏公司原已建立的形象。为了使商务信函产生积极效果,实现和对方的良好沟通,并建一个良好的公司形象。本文集中分析文体学视觉下英语商务信函的礼貌表现,并从选词与语法的运用两方面进行分析,从而得出了在不同情况下,使用的礼貌原则和表达尊重的方法是不相同的;礼貌化表达策略在具体运用中也并不是单一的,在实际写作过程中,往往需要综合、灵活地运用它们。 关键词:礼貌;文体学;英语商务信函;合作原则;礼貌原则 |
