Abstract:English euphemim is a linguistic phenomenon as well as a cultural one. Euphemism has become one of the major subjects of corss-cultural studies as pepole come to realize the significance of euphemism.Therefore, English teachers should pay attention to euphemism teaching so as to improve students’ cross-cultural awareness and communicative competence. On the basis of analyzing the definiton, the origins and the classification of euphemism to form a general concept of it, the focus of this thesis is to help English teachers to arouse students’ interest in euphemism learning through various classroom activities and tasks and make them learn to recognize and apply euphemisms appropriately. The author mainly concerns four teaching methods: lecture, practice, appreciation and euphemistically-teaching method. Lecture and pratice are the main teaching methods. 摘要:委婉语是一种语言现象,也是一种文化现象。随着委婉语的重要性越来越为人们所关注和认识,委婉语已成为跨文化研究的重要对象之一。委婉语教学的目的就是通过提高学生理解和使用委婉语的能力以培养学生的跨文化意识和交际能力。 本文在吸收学术界对委婉语理论研究的基础上,着重探讨英语委婉语的教学模式。文章在对委婉语的定义、起源和分类等知识迸行比较全面的分析研究的基础上,重点探讨英语委婉语教学的模式与方法,旨在帮助英语教师运用大量的课堂活动和任务提高学生学习委婉语的积极性,通过提高理解和使用委婉语的能力以培养学生的跨文化意识和交际能力。作者探究了四大教学方法:讲解法、实践法、欣赏法和用委婉语为课堂用语。其中讲解法和实践法是主要教学方法。 关键词:英语委婉语;委婉语教学;委婉语学习;教学方法 |
