Abstract:As every knows, reading is an important way for people to get information and knowledge, especially for middle school students. However, it is likely that the students are often troubled with the unknown words or unfamiliar words in their reading, which greatly influence their understanding and their reading speed. These obstacles should be eliminated. Thus, we need to use guessing skills in reading. This paper is a brief discussion on guessing skills. These are three guessing skills in this essay: Guessing words from the context, Guessing by word-information, Guessing by the relative knowledge. These guessing skills can help students to understand the text. All of these guessing skills are not isolated. In fact, they are relative to each other.

摘  要:阅读是获得知识和信息的一种重要手段，尤其对于中学生来说。然而，尽管学生词汇量很大，但是他们在阅读中也会遇到不知道的生词。这些生词就像一些障碍，应该把它们排除。我们可以用一些猜词技巧来解决这个问题。该论文集中讨论了三种猜词技巧：上下文猜词，构词法猜词和相关信息法猜词。这些技巧可以帮助学生更好地理解文章，它们是相辅相成的，在阅读中应灵活运用。
