Abstract:A lot of people know Christianity, Islam and Buddhism, but most of them do not know that Judaism is the origin of world religion. As the oldest religion in the world, the influence of Judaism reflects not only on the development of religion, but also on the literature. In many famous western literary works, there are always some Jewish classic stories, also in English literature works. They use the stories as the examples, background or even the main line of their books. This article is written for the purpose of using these classic stories and well-known English literature works to express and analyze the influence of Judaism on English literature.

摘要:很多人都知道基督教，伊斯兰教，佛教，但却很少有人知道犹太教是它们的根源。作为世界上最古老的的宗教，犹太教的影响不仅仅表现在宗教上，还表现在文学上.很多西方文学作品或多或少都会提及犹太教圣经或者法典里最经典的故事，尤其英语文学，有的以它为背景故事，有的用它作为主线。本文旨在通过那些最经典的故事去描述以及分析犹太教对于近现代英语文学作品的影响。
