ABSTRACT: According to the theory of Jean Piaget, the process of cognition has been developed from the known to the new, and English teaching is no exception. Its process is an organic whole. With the development of English teaching in the primary schools, there have been many changes in China’s English teaching in the compulsive education period. One of the major issues is to explore the problems of English teaching from primary schools to junior middle schools. This study researches 110 Junior One student and 10 teachers were chosen for the questionnaire and the interview based on NO.2 Junior Middle School in Mengzi. The Excel 2007 was employed to describe and analyze the collected data and materials for description analysis. The survey presents us with the following results: From students’ perspectives, most of the students have become less interested in English in junior school than in primary school; they have a lot of difficulties in adapting to the new textbooks, the teaching method, and the ways of evaluation. From teachers’ perspectives, some of the teachers have no consciousness to transfer their teaching method and roles in order to help the students get through this special phase; that is to say, the lack of the consciousness is a big problem. The writer hopes that the outcomes of the study can help English teachers get some implications to instruct their teaching more effectively and more efficiently, and help their students get through the transition smoothly and steadily. 摘要: 根据皮亚杰的理论,认识过程是从已知的开发新的知识,英语教学也不例外,其过程是一个有机整体。伴随着小学阶段英语教学的兴起,义务教育阶段的英语教学带来了许多新的变化,中小学英语教学的衔接的问题成为一个备受关注的议题。 本研究以蒙自二中为例,采用问卷调查和访谈的方式对蒙自二中初一年级110名学生和10名老师进行了研究,主要运用Excel 2007 软件对所有收集的数据、资料进行了描述统计,探讨边疆中小学英语教学衔接现状和存在的问题。 研究结果发现:从学生方面来看,大多数进入初中的学生对英语的学习兴趣下降:一些学生难以适应新的教材、教学方法和评价方式。从老师方面来看,老师们欠缺根据学生实际情况来改变教学方法并帮助学生度过这个过渡阶段的意识。研究结论对于教师采取恰当而有效的教学措施来帮助学生顺利完成过渡阶段有一定的启示作用。 关键词: 英语教学衔接;学习兴趣 ;教师意识; 英语教学方法 |
