Abstract：The reading is a process of the complex heart’s activities, so it needs not only hard study, but also effective strategies. Furthermore, the reading’s score influence the junior school students’ English score greatly, and the reading has become very important in language teaching and testing. It requires that junior school teachers pay more attention to teaching reading and students should study hard than ever. This paper sets a research on how to improve students’ English reading ability, I hope it can useful to English teachers and students.

中文摘要：阅读理解是一个复杂的心理过程，因此除了需要勤学苦练之外，还需要有效地方法指导。再者，阅读理解的分数很大程度上决定了英语总分。在语言教学和考试中，阅读理解变得异常重要，这就需要老师在教阅读理解时付出更多的精力，学生要更加勤学苦练。本论文在如何提高初中生的英语阅读能力方面做了些研究，希望对初中老师和学生有所帮助。
