Abstract:As a basic meaningful unit in English, a foreign language, it is essential to master the vocabulary. Furthermore, basic vocabulary is easily found in the junior high English textbook Go For It!  (Book 1) from which students can learn and remember a vast amount of vocabulary, especially nouns. To find simple but effective means for both teaching and learning vocabulary has become more important and necessary. By reviewing related input theories and the analysis of using pictures as a specific example of an effective way to teach English vocabulary in junior high school, this thesis was developed in the hope of offering some thoughts for all English teachers to explore a better way to teach.

中文摘要:词汇作为一门语言中独个的语义成分,在语言的学习过程中起着十分重要的作用。本文旨在通过对相关语言学习理论的回顾及个人实际教学经验的分析和思考,以图片在词汇教学中的应用为例,希望能引起广大教师对最优教学方式的思考和探究,从而获得学生高效学习的较佳方案。
