Abstract: Upgrading the speaking ability of middle school students is both the most important and most difficult task faced by the English teachers today. For various reasons, students’ oral English needs improving. Traditional teaching methods confine students’ learning potential by focusing on form rather than language use. “Task-based Approach”, which has the international influence, is proved effective by many scholars. This paper discusses the application of Task-based Approach to oral English teaching. By examining the definition, framework and theoretical basis of the Task-based Approach, the paper presents a sample of practical application of task-based instruction to an oral class.

摘要:如何提高学生的口语水平始终是中学英语教学中的难点和重点。由于种种原因,中学生的口语能力参差不同,有待提高。而传统教学模式下的英语口语教学又束缚了学生学习潜能的发挥。任务型这一具有国际影响的外语教学模式已被大多数的学者证实是有效的。本文将把任务型教学理念应用于中学英语口语教学之中,通过对任务型教学理论的定义、构成和理论基础等方面的阐述,及对影响中学生口语能力的主要因素的实际调查,结合中学教材设计具体任务型口语教学教案实例并分析其效果。
