Abstract: The literary translation is very difficult, and the Chinese classical poetry translation is much more difficult because the poetic language is extremely terse, implicit and condensed, featuring beauties in meaning, sound and form. Tian Jing Sha·Qiu Si of Ma Zhiyuan, the masterpiece of non-dramatic song of Yuan dynasty, has been translated into different English versions by many translators. On the basis of Xu Yuanchong’s theory of “three beauties”, this paper intends to explore the aesthetic properties in Chinese classical poetry translation through the analysis of Tian Jing Sha·Qiu Si and its different English versions. 摘要:文学翻译难,而中国古诗词因其语言高度含蓄,凝练,且兼有意美、音美和形美的特征,翻译起来更是难上加难。马致远的《天净沙 秋思》是元朝散曲中的杰作,现有多种英文译本。本文将以《天净沙 秋思》的不同英文译本为例,以许渊冲先生的“三美”论为理论基础,探究中国古诗词英译的美学特征。 关键词:文学翻译, 中国古诗词, 美学特征, 《天净沙·秋思》 |
