Abstract:With the development of global economy and the progress of international cooperation, Business English in international business becomes more prominent in the movement. Business English is a discipline which is the organic combination of “Business” and “English”. But the lexis, syntax and style on the specific character and target of international business English proves that the traditional “complete translation” cannot meet the needs of reality. Flexible Translation Theory gives a reasonable explanation to the present translation variations, to make up for the lack of “box translation”. Flexible Translation Theory emerges as the times requires, and becomes one of the important theories of business English now.

This thesis tries to study the application of Flexibility Translation Theory in business English translation and try to find a better way to communicate in actual business activities.
