The thesis will interpret The Rainbow from the point of eco-feminism. Lydia’s casting off nightmare by nature, Anna’s finding peace through nature and Ursula’s getting spiritual support from nature all symbolize the harmonious relationship between women and nature. Lawrence explores the relationship between men and women, nature and women, attempting to arise the importance of protecting nature and guiding women to be dependent.
