Abstract:In the long history of human development, human have been maintaining close contact with animals that produce an indelible impact on human life. Animals are carriers of people’s emotion. We often express our feeling with some animals’ words seen frequently in the eastern and western culture. As we all known vocabulary in the language often mirrors culture and develop or decline along with the culture. The meanings of the same vocabulary  are different in the two culture because of the influence of history, customs, values, religion and other aspects of Eastern and Western cultures, so do the words of animal. Each kind of animal has a different shape and different feature. People in different culture attach one animal to same or different meaning.

Translation is a product of communication of two cultures. Thoroughly understanding the translation of animals from English to Chinese can help us know about the western culture and life. This paper focuses on analysis the translation of the animals on the view of the cross-cultures .
