Abstract:While bringing in a great number of foreign blockbusters, movie translation has attracted more attention. At the same time, the translation of movie titles is much more important. This paper will discuss English movie title translation from the point of view that the role that acculturation plays in English movie title translation. This paper will focus on the influence that acculturation brings on English movie title translation, deeply study about problems in English movie title translation that caused by cultural differences, and propose related translation strategies through studies.So as to conduct subsequent English movie title translation, increase translation standard. On this basis, this paper will discuss carefully about language feature, function, and acculturation of movie title. Besides, to improve English movie title translation and its quality, I will give plenty of examples to improve above studies, and offer crucial strategies.
