Abstract
The debate over domestication and foreignization has been very heated for a long time, especially in the field of literary translation. This article mainly focus on the domestication and foreignization in Fu’s translation and the interaction between them. The publishing of Piao has been the model in the strategy of domestication, which also received much criticism from scholars who stands for the strategy of foreignization. Many scholars believe that there is binary opposition between domestication and foreignization. However, the author agree that domestication and foreignization are complementary to each other. Instead , there is no binary opposition between them. Therefore, we should avoid the limitation in literary translation and seek for mutual complementation.
