Abstract
Chinglish, as a type of errors caused by interference of Chinglish language, thought and culture, occurs frequently in compositions by students in Grade 7. Chinglish with it various manifestations impairs written communication effect and sometimes makes written communication impossible. This thesis, under the direction of error analysis, focuses on Chinglish in the writing of Grade 7. 74 compositions by students in Grade 7 from Green Town School will be analyzed. Besides, the possible causes of Chinhglish will be discussed in the thesis. And some suggestions are put up to help eliminate it. It is hoped that the analysis and suggestions will contribute to better English teaching and learning.
